Who provides ShowCourt
ShowCourt is operated by SHOWCOURT LLC. In these terms, “ShowCourt,” “we,” and “us” refer to SHOWCOURT LLC.
By creating an account or using ShowCourt, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use ShowCourt for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms for that organization.
Accounts and messages
Give us accurate account information and keep your access secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.
When you request a login code, you agree to receive that verification message. This does not enroll you in optional ShowCourt texts. Optional text messages require a separate opt-in for the purposes described at the time you consent. Consent is not required to create an account, use ShowCourt, join a community, or make a purchase.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of optional texts in Settings or by replying STOP to the ShowCourt messaging number. Reply START to that number to resume or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our SMS terms and opt-in information for program details and support.
ShowCourt accounts are for people 13 and older. If you are under 18, you may only use ShowCourt with a parent or guardian's permission, and that parent or guardian is responsible for your account and any purchases. Organizers who admit players under 18 are responsible for any required parental consent or waivers.
Communities, events, and leagues
Organizers control their communities, publish events and leagues, set prices, manage rosters, and deliver the activities they offer. Players must follow the rules and eligibility requirements shown by the organizer.
ShowCourt provides the software and payment tools, but the organizer is responsible for the event or league itself. If an organizer publishes additional terms for an offering, those terms also apply as long as they do not conflict with these terms or applicable law.
Organizers are responsible for the events and leagues they run. If a claim against ShowCourt arises from an organizer's offering — including injuries, venue issues, or disputes with participants — the organizer agrees to cover ShowCourt's resulting costs to the extent the claim comes from the organizer's conduct or offering.
Organizer subscriptions
Paid ShowCourt plans renew automatically on the billing interval selected at checkout until they are canceled. Published prices are tax-exclusive unless checkout states otherwise. You are responsible for applicable taxes charged on your purchase.
Plan upgrades take effect immediately and may include a prorated charge. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Our Refunds, Cancellations & Disputes Policy explains when a subscription charge may be refunded.
Participant payments
When a player pays for an organizer's event or league, the charge is processed for that organizer through the organizer's connected Stripe account. The player pays the price shown at checkout. Stripe's processing fee and ShowCourt's application fee reduce the organizer's proceeds.
The refund terms shown for the event or league apply to that purchase. ShowCourt's standard policy is available on the refunds page.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse ShowCourt, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape data in bulk, impersonate another person, or use the service to break the law or harm others. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
You keep ownership of content you provide. You give ShowCourt permission to host, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
Service changes and account action
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of ShowCourt as the product changes. We may restrict or close an account that violates these terms, creates risk for players or organizers, or threatens the service. When practical, we will give notice and a chance to correct the issue.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute we can't resolve informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and each of us consents to that venue. Before starting a formal dispute, use Get help and give us thirty days to work it out — most issues are faster to fix than to litigate. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead.
ShowCourt is provided on an "as available" basis. We work to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every error will be corrected immediately. To the fullest extent allowed by law, SHOWCOURT LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid ShowCourt in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. We will post the new effective date here and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights.
